Wallpaper Beta version

It's been some time since I've had a chance to post something. Recently I've been pretty busy at the office. This is something I've started to develop at work. It seemed my digital desktop gets about as messy as my analogue one so I present to you: Desktop organizer (beta version).

Kid Icarus 2011 Calendar

Recently I was invited to participate in the Kid Icarus handprinted calendar project. Its a really great project and I was honored to take part. The way it works is they select 12 artists and ask them to create artwork for a particular month of the year. I submitted work for the month of March (I will post an image ASAP). For details about the Calendar please check out the Kid Icarus website here. I can't wait to get my copy.

The Calendar will be available for purchase on Tuesday, December 7th 2010 at these fine locations:Magic Pony Shop Girls, and Telegramme

Absolut St.ART

For the past few months I've been working on an installation for an Absolut vodka event called "Absolut St.ART." My concept was to create a city that incorporated naturally occurring feautres of the landscape (trees, hills, rocks, stumps, etc.) into the architecture of the buildings and other city structures. I built a street corner of the fictional city which included a butcher shop, bus stop, street lights a bus and an angry butcher.

Shop Keepers Society

Here's the second piece I did for my series entitled "The Shopkeeper's Society." The work was created for a "one night stand" of an art show (it was only shown for one evening). The plan is to keep working on some so stay tuned...

New Stuff

I'm working some new pieces for a new show called "Pictures 2" put on by my good friend Andy Capp of the infamous "Bang the Party" shows. The series of my new pieces is called "The Shop Keepers Society." This is the first of a few in the works. Check back soon. Also check out the show site here.

Taste of Portugal

I'm currently on the last leg of my European vacation. I'm in Portugal at the moment and apparently living next to a pig farm that I have dubbed "pig city" and the local zoo. The "Pig City" is constructed of tonnes of old lumber arranged into various little pig huts. Here are a few photos I've taken from around the Algarve in Portugal so far.

Cervaza

Barcelona! What a great place. We haven't had much sun thus far on our European vacation but Barcelona was great. Lots of Sun. Perfect for mural creation. Alexa and I ended up painting some walls near Paral lel station. It is a famous skate spot which was a plus for me. If you've seen any skate videos filmed in the last 10 years chances are you've seen this spot. This time we thought we'd give some shout outs in the mural to loved ones and friends.

I've made it to Paris with the family. Alexa and I managed to get paint and find some space to work through some very helpful contacts. We were lucky the rain held out long enough for us to finish the Under One Roof collaboration. On to Barcelona...

Shameless

Bounjour! I am currently on a bit of a tour through Europe. The family and I are visiting our friends across the pond. As a promotional item for this trip, and in general I have created the first in an ongoing series of promotional booklets entitled "What I Do." With a little help from a little sister I hand bound a handful of these booklets and will be sending them and hopefully handing them to prospective clients. Everyone loves shameless self promotion right? Aside from my friends at projects, projects of course. (lootbag tour crew, you know what I'm saying)
